Whether it’s red or white, we let the variety shine. Our wines are modern interpretations of your favourite varietal wines. We focus on capturing the fruit flavours from the vineyard. We don’t shy away from natural texture and welcome artisanal techniques when it enhances the wine experience. Most importantly, our wines (all of them) are utterly approachable, moreish, crowd pleasers.
Tighten your fun pants. There’s a chance you’ve heard of (and sipped) this beauty already. The Sauvignon Blanc is our most popular drop. It’s no surprise, really. She’s a party starter. An aromatic explosion of passionfruit jumps out of the glass, followed by tropical pineapple and mango notes. Skin contact for 12 hours means flavour, flavour, flavour. Lemon pith, lemongrass, green apple, papaya and mouth-watering acidity add to the fun. The impressive body and texture are thanks to 10% of the wine fermented on skins. It’s fruity, fresh and begs to be enjoyed beneath the summer sun – or at least makes you feel as you are there.
Tasting NoteOh, for the love of tenderly made Chardonnay. There’s just a whisper of oak in this bright, pure example of the variety. Citrus, native Australian flora, lemon myrtle, honey and peach seduce the senses. A lemon line twang (taught, like a tightrope) tiptoes through the palate with perfect balance (hey there natural acidity). A 40% natural fermentation approach contributed to the complexity and a hint of nougat adds an extra dimension to a Chardy with both character and attitude. Delish.
Tasting NoteDon’t let this Pinot Grigio’s pale veneer and subtle aromas fool you; there’s plenty of flavour going on in the glass. Lemon pith, apple skin, grapefruit, custard apple, poached pear and cinnamon flavours tumble across the palate like waves against a riverbed after a houseboat drifts by. At its core, this wine is all about taking pristine fruit from a healthy vineyard, squeezing it gently, and letting it kick back while the magic happens. Abracadabra, it’s a 100% wild (natural) ferment winner. Perfect for long lunches in the great outdoors.
Tasting NoteRoll out the red carpet for this mesmerising Merlot and its raspberry aromas. Add a touch of milk chocolate, spice and a distinct savoury edge and you’ve got an alluring wine on your hands. The palate pops with more raspberries, sour cherries and plum. The stair-case like structure, soft tannin and tight finish keeps the motley crew of flavours in check. It’s medium-bodied, a bit rustic and undeniably fun and approachable. The kind of friend you want to be around all day, every day.
Tasting NoteGoing to a dinner party and want to impress everyone with your choice of savoury red? This scrumptious blend ticks all the crowd-pleasing boxes. Distinct dried tobacco leaf, herb blackberry and red jube aromas are amicable and alluring. It’s structured, bright as a button with a smidge of fruit sweetness and full of red cherry flavours and spice. Soft, grainy tannins provide a friendly pat on the back. Not too heavy, not too light, just right. Bravo winemaker, take a bow.
Tasting NoteTake time to swirl this sexy Shiraz in the glass to really appreciate its rich, red scarlet hue. Breathe deep and experience plums plucked fresh off the tree, a touch of violet, red cherries, spice and a savoury aromatic edge. In the glass, the fruit sings and it’s delightfully in tune. A chorus of blueberries, cherries and dark chocolate is followed by a spicy finale. There’s a touch of American oak to be found and the tannins are like crawling into freshly washed silk sheets. Divine. Drink now or wait three to four years (if you can exercise that much willpower).
Tasting NoteThis is another great moreish wine which is sure to please your friends and family. The aromas of blackberry, red jubes and plums are complimented by mocha and violets. It’s super silky and elegant with a bit of sweetness and abundance of red berry flavour. This generous flavoursome wine is a perfect match with your next grilling occasion.
Tasting NoteAromas of apricot nectar with jasmine and hints of cinnamon. Jasmine and quince combine with cinnamon and anise, leading into the peach cobbler palate. Silky tannins and a creamy lingering finish create a wine that is enjoyed long after it is consumed. Enjoy with dukka crusted yabbies with preserved lemon yoghurt, or garlic, ginger and sesame brown rice. Viognier is a favourite of Marty’s and he often uses the vine cuttings as lures for Murray Cod.
Tasting NoteWhite peach, apple blossom and almond meal aromas, complemented with hints of toast, vanilla and shortbread. Full flavoured yet finely structured, the Chardonnay offers a unique expression of our vineyard. Layers of flavour are developed from the finest of clones, natural fermentation and minimal handling of the wine. A finish that is polished and befitting of the man himself, best enjoyed with the finest of crustaceans, the yabbie, or if you can’t find one, try lobster bisque.
Tasting NoteA medium bodied red wine, showing evocative aromas of mulberry and blackberry, with hints of rose and lavender. The palate is full of sweet spice and red berries, with a silky and seamless profile that leads to a savoury white pepper finish. Enjoy with pancetta wrapped yabbies grilled on the BBQ, or potato, rosemary and red onion focaccia, or pumpkin, chickpea and coconut curry.
Tasting NoteAromas of red jubes and plums with subtle notes of blackcurrant, cedar and violets. This clever blend of varieties sees generous fruit sweetness to the mid palate from the Shiraz, showing layers of black cherry, spice and stewed mulberries. The Cabernet Sauvignon contributes stylish structure with a silky texture that finishes with soft grainy tannins. Enjoy with pumpkin and lamb curry.
